Lawn Reductions & Garden Bed Expansions
Whether you want a quick turnaround of sod removal to create a nice garden bed quickly, or you want to slowly kill off grass with sheet mulching or other methods, I would love to help you have less lawn to mow.
I also offer lawn alternative options using native groundcovers that can tolerate light foot traffic and require little to no mowing. Many of our native sedges outperform lawn grass in damp and shady areas. Lawn alternative are a fantastic option for areas of the yard where you want a visually simple design, but with a softness that mowed lawns don’t provide.
Native Plantings
I offer a range of native plantings, from sunny and bright pollinator patches, to woodland plantings, meadows to rain gardens, and many other ecosystem types that might be found in New Jersey.
Whether your goal is to have more birds and butterflies on your property, to solve drainage issues, or just to have more beautiful flowers, I can help plan and plant a native garden that fits your space. Helping people embrace the parts of nature they love is my passion!
Talks, Workshops, and Events
While I love designing, planting, and maintaining gardens, at the end of the day, the mission behind what I do is to bring more appreciation to nature. I think people naturally want to connect with and learn about the ecosystems that we’re a part of, and creating spaces where that is accessible, fun, and exciting, is very important to me.
If your garden club, native plant society, school, or other group would like to book a talk with me on mycology, native gardening, amphibians, or another ecology based topic, please reach out using the contact form below.
Maintenance
My maintenance calendar for 2026 is very limited, but I am open to chatting about what your needs are. I have a fantastic network of local gardeners with native plant knowledge, and would be happy to recommend someone to best fit your needs.
Garden Design
While I often trade a walkthrough and basic sketch for a formal design, there are times where a properly drawn plan is needed. If you have a large property, or many separate projects/phases you’d like to space out over time, I’d recommend getting an overall plan that can be used by you, me and my team, or your landscaper of choice.
